North Center
This six-way intersection is in the heart of the North Center neighborhood of Chicago, an ethnically diverse neighborhood traditionally home to many Latinos, Germans, and Eastern Europeans. Gentrification in popular nearby neighborhoods like Roscoe Village is causing this charming area to become pricier and prompting fear that longtime residents may soon be unable to afford their homes and small businesses.
Plane Flying Overhead
A plane flies over Belmont Avenue at this six-way, heading east toward the lake.
Building Corner
Detail of the corner of a building at this six-way. The rounded bay in the building’s corner, with the single column is an unusual but typical architectural type in many Chicago neighborhoods.
Lincoln Restaurant
Illinois is the Land of Lincoln, after all. The sign for the Lincoln Restaurant at 4008 N. Lincoln Avenue.
