Lincoln Park / DePaul
This lively intersection in the heart of Lincoln Park is home to DePaul University’s main campus, Children’s Memorial Hospital, and some unique older movie theaters, in addition to a variety of cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops.

The 3 Penny Cinema at 2424 N. Lincoln Avenue opened in 1912 as a nickelodeon and is now one of the few remaining independent cinemas operating in Chicago. It is also somewhat infamous for hosting the Chicago premiere of Deep Throat in 1972.

The Biograph Theater, across the street from the 3 Penny and currently being converted into new performance spaces by the Victory Gardens Theater, is the most famous movie theater in Chicago. It was here that the notorious bank robber John Dillinger was gunned down by FBI agents in 1934.
